SMS Motors is on the Ballina Road in the IDA industrial estate at Rathscanlan, just outside Tubbercurry — the second-largest town in County Sligo, at the foot of the Ox Mountains on the N17 some thirty kilometres from Sligo. The company is an approved Peugeot parts supplier and service and warranty repairer covering Sligo and Leitrim, which matters in a rural area where the nearest franchised alternative is a long drive. Work is carried out by trained technicians and service advisors using genuine parts, and the business also sells cars and runs a recovery service. There is a waiting area where tea is offered while the work is done. SMS Motors has been trading for around sixteen years. Open Monday to Thursday 9:00–18:00, Friday to 17:00 and Saturday 10:00–14:00. The workshop closes for a summer break.
